Western Bulldogs’ Club President, Peter Gordon, has indicated that he expects Brendan McCartney’s time at the kennel to extend well into the future.

“My expectation is that Brendan McCartney will be the senior coach of the Bulldogs for many years,’’ Gordon told the Herald Sun.

“I have had a couple of discussions with Macca over the course of the last 12 months over these issues and we are comfortable and he is comfortable.”

While the Club has not set a timeline in relation to potential contract discussions, Gordon is confident talks will occur when appropriate.

“When (CEO) Simon Garlick and (Manager of Football) Graham Lowe choose to they will sit down and have an appropriate conversation about the way that is proceeded with," he said.
