I became a Western Bulldogs Member because...
I go to the footy every week. I want my club to not only survive but flourish, and members are the backbone of any club.

I signed my husband as a member (he barracks for Sydney) but has been a doggies member for 10 years.

I bought a work colleague a membership (he is from Ireland) because couldn't decide on a team to support. He is now a true passionate Doggies Irishman! My dog is a member! What else can I say but I hope the above displays what membership means to me.

My favourite Bulldogs football memory is…
My footy favourite player was Terry Wheeler. I remember watching him play and meeting him in the social club when i
was a kid. I remember shaking his hand and I didn't want to wash that hand again.  My favourite number was and will always be 35!

The Bulldogs are important to me because…
Where do I start! I was born a Bulldog. My dad was born and died in Footscray, and my grandparents lived a stones throw from Whitten Oval in Gordon Street.

My earliest memories are from very precious times spent with my family at the footy. My mum made our floggers and knitted our scarves. When I had my two children I replicated my footy childhood as much as possible (except my kids got to watch in the luxury of Etihad). My son is now 21 and my daughter is 18 and they still come to the footy with me so I must of done something right.

The Western Bulldogs represent where we come from. The footy to me is a weekly release from my world where i can forget all the pressures of life and immerse myself in the thrill of the game. For my 40th I got a Bulldogs car number plate and my 50th I got my first tattoo.

I designed it myself and am very proud to have it on me permanently.

My first memory of being a Bulldogs member, or going to a Bulldogs match is…
My mum made our "floggers" for the footy I can remember waving them like mad after a goal and I used to love banging on the Tin fence after a goal. I remember running on the ground after the final siren to get as many autographs as
possible.

These are all my earliest memories.

Will you be attending the Round 18 game against St.Kilda on Saturday 23 July?
Yes, definitely. I wouldn't miss it.

Any other comments
Thank you for running this competition it really got me thinking about my childhood and early memories of the Doggies
and family. I had tears in my eyes typing my stories, wonderful warm feelings happening right now!
