Western Bulldogs captain Marcus Bontempelli has been recognised by the coaches for his efforts in the narrow loss to Hawthorn yesterday afternoon.

Bontempelli, who was the sole Bulldog to poll votes, received nine votes for his 26 disposals, five tackles, seven clearances and two goals.

He shared best-on-ground honours with Hawk Jarman Impey.

It takes Bontempelli’s total this season to 29 votes - 13 ahead of Adam Treloar on the clubhouse leaderboard.
